Q.Demi Moore showed up with her grills at the premiere of Bruce Willis’ Bandits. Is she playing a return to films and maybe to Bruce?
A. It’s rare for a star of Moore’s magnitude to abandon Hollywood (her films have grossed more than $1 billion), but that’s what she did more, 39, is developing some film projects, but none for herself. As for her ex-husband, Moore remains friends with Willis, 46, but has no plans to reconcile. She’s content with her longtime beau, martial-arts instructor Oliver Whitcomb, 30, and spend most of her time in remote Hailey, Idaho, with him and her daughters, Rumer, 13, Scout, 10and Tallulah, 7.

Q. Is Beyonc’e Knowles really leaving Destiny’s child to pursue a film career?
A. Temporarily. The beautiful Beyonc’e, 20, took advantage ofher glowing reviews in a TV version of Carmen and her trio’s decision to delay a European tour for security reasons. Beyonc’e assures us she’ll sing again when Destiny’s child tours this spring.

A. We need a history lesson: it’s the third time America has had six. In 1993-94, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush and Clinton were all alive. And if you include confederate President Jefferson Davis, we had seven in 1961-62.

Q. Why Brits like Sting, who speak with a natural English accent, sing with an American accent?
A. Because they train themselves to sound like American vocalists, so their records will “ translate” stateside and appeal to a larger audience. This effort is not limited to foreign crooners: Frank Sinatra talked Hoboken but sang in unaccented American.

Q. Why did Kathy quit doing swimsuit calendars?
A. Because the sports illustrated super model found she could earn more keeping her clothes on as a designer and entrepreneur.
