“If a million strong army equipped
with hi tech surveillance system and armed
to teeth deployed along LOC in Kashmir fail to stop “cross-border-terrorism”
than
it should be disbanded!” remarked a European diplomat
in private party. It sounds logical. What is the use of having
such a huge army consisting of million “warriors”?

With extensive use of deadly
mines, deployment of highly sensitive electronic surveillance
system and millions of men armed with sophisticated weapons
in three defensive layers, even a small sparrow should
not fly past without being noticed, yet, as per Vajpayee
administration, hoards of infiltrators had been crossing
over to held Kashmir for conducting terrorist acts. Are
the “infiltrators” magicians having excellence
in disappearing acts or they the ghosts, not visible to
“keen” eyes of Indian army and hi tech radars?
It is absurd. No, they are neither magicians nor ghosts
nor any infiltrators from anywhere. They are sons of soil,
fighting for their own existence and claim their rightful
rights to breath in free air. They are the freedom fighters.
With such a ground reality, it seems that either the Indian
occupational forces had never been assigned the mission
to control the cross-border-terrorism or there are no
infiltrators and the hoax of “imported terrorists”
has been created to provide cover for the evil Indian
designs of ethnic cleansing. This assumption seems more
plausible as not a single day goes by without Kashmiri
Muslims being killed in their own homeland, by the Indian
forces. The Indian army has, from day one been assigned
a single mission for painting the held valley red with
Kashmiri Muslim blood, thus ensuring ethnic cleansing.
They have done so in Gujarat successfully, but failed
out there in Kashmir. However the question arises that
if they could do in Gujarat with a lot less force how
could they fail miserably in Held Kashmir? Answer is simple.
In Kashmir, they are up against the freedom movement and
that too with indigenous base. Like Gujarat, where they
killed and drove away hoards of helpless Muslims, even
in Kashmir, the Indian army would had succeeded in days,
had it not been an indigenous freedom movement. History
is ripe with such movements where the mighty armies of
aggressions or usurpers, despite brutal forces failed
to win against the wills of souls seeking freedoms. Day
is not far now when the oppressed will breath in free
air even in Held Kashmir. Incidentally, it sounds strange
too that if the “mighty Indian army” feels helpless
against poor Kashmiri civilians than how have they thought
of, attacking Pakistan having well trained and disciplined
army of “Allah O Akbar” believers? It is absurd.
The core issue between two bordering nations is Kashmir.
This issue is half century old and has not arisen over
night. The world community has been a silent spectator
to the ruthless human rights violations and atrocities
committed by occupational Indian Army. Thousands of men,
women and children have been and being slaughtered, just
because they want right of self determination; a right
which the world community itself gave to them. Why no
one so called recently emerged “peace brokers”
among global community, thought of resolving it earlier?
India and Pakistan has already been to war twice on Kashmir
and no one among the global power had taken so much pains,
as being done now, to prove their “sincere”
concern for the well being of both confronting nations.
How have they suddenly realized that both people shall
be killed in vain if war broke out? How has now the human
blood of this region become so dear to them when Kashmiri
blood having the same quality and colour has been treated
worth a saline-sea-water drop? No. It is not any love
for peace or for the people of this region. It is for
their own vested interest. It is their own safety they
are concerned about. There would had been no such situation
as prevailing today in this region had the world leaders
been honest about their commitments. Kashmir issue could
have been resolved decades ago. The world leaders had
settled so many more complicated and difficult issues
in the world with or without force, but Kashmir continued
to remain as an unresolved issue. There had been many
occasions when, with a little sincere effort by the world
community, Kashmir issue could have been settled. However,
that needed an honest effort by the “friends”
of peace and two neighbouring people. Unfortunately, the
honesty had always been lacking thus raising the miseries
of Kashmiries with each passing day. Israel was created,
Germany unified, Yugoslavia dismembered, Iraq subdued,
IRA issue resolved, Afghanistan neutralized and East Timor
appeared on the world map yet the Kashmir issue remains
“unresolvable”! It is absurd.
Agreed that the US, the EU and other world leaders do
not want nuclear nations; Indo-Pak to go to war. Agreed
that they wish good for both people. But what are they
doing to prevent it beyond verbosity? Their concern for
well-being of two nations and love for peace in the region
is nothing more than achieving their own hidden ambitions.
Even now, with extremely volatile situation in the region,
her allies and US are playing political games. They are
trying to kill many birds with one stone. They are trying
to achieve their hidden goals under the garb of “war
against terrorism”, by, in some cases, coercing through
brutal force and in other cases through economic black
mailing. It is a known fact that American Administration
had always been the most unreliable.
friend yet, ironically, expects
others to always be loyal to them, even if this loyalty
puts other’s sovereignty and dignity or even existence
at stake. Notoriously famous Bush rhetoric soon after
9/11 incident, “Either you are with us or with them”
and responding arrogantly to a reporter’s question
regarding Pakistan “We will give them a chance to
prove (their loyalty)”, explains it all. And when,
Pakistan, not under compulsion but as a matter of national
policy sided and whole heartedly supported them with all
available resources, the Bush arrogance, instead of being
turned into that of gratefulness increased many folds.
Despite being front line state, putting very existence
at risk and being “close ally” to the “Global
Coalition” against terrorism, Bush standing next
to Putin sends a warning to Pakistan; “Musharaf needs
to do more”… “Deeds must follow words”,
repeating the same words which he used for Yasser Arafat
a month back, thus equating Musharaf with Yasser, Pakistan
with Palestine, Vajpayee with Sharon and India with Israel.
His equation is true. Yes, Palestinian and Pakistanis
are both proud Muslim nations. Yes, Musharaf and Yasser
both happen to be the Muslim leaders and yes, India and
Israel are both Zionist states nursing century old anti
Muslim feelings. While giving such remarks, Bush has also,
voluntary or involuntary, given out his hidden anti Muslim
feelings and indirectly indicated towards the events to
follow. Who would like to have such friends? Bush administration
has been very vocal, even after 9/11 “so called”
close relationship with Pakistan, about the “bad
track record” of Pakistan with regards to global
commitments but seldom did any thing to prove their own
steadfastness or honesty. Looking towards USA or UK for
solution to Indo Pak crises is a folly. It was Lord Mountbaton
of UK who ensured that these two neighboring nations never
live in peace, by deliberately creating the Kashmir issue,
yet during his recent visit to Indo-Pak, the British Foreign
Secretary neither could gather the courage to accept blame
for the wrong doing nor offer any solution and instead
spoke his master’s voice, “onus is on Pakistan……must
stop cross border terrorism”. It is absurd. Mr Secretary,
please open your mind and eyes and see for yourself the
facts on ground. There is a lot of difference between
the “infiltrators” and freedom fighters.
There is no denying fact that, after America abandoned
the Afghan people and their devastated country, Pakistan
assisted the neighboring Muslim brethren in their rehabilitation
and concurrently bore the heavy expenses for housing millions
of Afghan refugees. Pakistan had been equally harmed by
the long fighting of Mujahideen assisted aggressively
by the Americans against ex USSR. In fact, apart from
the Afghans, Pakistanis had been the major victims of
“abandonment policy” adopted by the Americans
soon after achieving their goals of dismemberment of USSR.
They never bothered to turn around and find out as to
what had been the fate of those who had assisted them
to become the only global super power. It shall not be
wrong to say that they ensured through their attitude
towards Afghans that all weapons and munitions left behind
by Russians or earlier supplied by Americans as “Mujahideen
allies” was used not only among Afghan warlords for
killing each other but also smuggled out to neighboring
countries for creating a kind of “wild west”
of east! Folks in Pakistan never had heard of Kalashankov,
drugs or so called Jahadi or fundamentalist groups till
the influx of Afghan refugees after the Russia-Afghan
war. This had been a reward given by Americans to the
people of two Muslim countries who had helped them achieving
their mission. The world in general and all subsequent
US administrations remained complete insensitive to the
killings, human rights violations, deteriorating economies
and devastating living conditions of common Pak-Afghan
People. Like any sovereign state Pakistan also adopted
the policy which best suited to the national interest
at that point of time. Assisting Taliban, who had been
received with warm and open arms of the Afghans themselves,
could not be termed as a wrong policy. Afghanis themselves
preferred Taliban over other Afghan parties or warlords.
They had been from among Afghanis themselves and not from
other country. Assisting or helping morally, financially
or diplomatically a neighboring popular government of
the time is not a crime. Pakistan needed peace in her
neighbor. Pakistan needed settled Afghans in their own
country rather than gun trotting jobless youth or drug
traffickers trickling down to Pak soil. This could only
be achieved if peace prevailed in Afghanistan. However,
what had been the way of governance of Taliban were a
separate issue and an internal matter of an independent
country. They too could have been overthrown, as was done
with many other governments, if the Afghans did not want
them. Had the world community arisen in time to the occasion,
there would not have been any Al Qaeeda or things like
that.
Instead of assisting Afghans and helping states like Pakistan,
Saudi Arabia or UAE in their efforts to rehabilitate Afghans,
the American administration, through notorious CIA, continued
to sow the seeds of dissentions and turned blind eye towards
emergence of Al Qaeeda or fanatic elements in Taliban.
They did so because it had been fitting perfectly in their
grand scheme of destabilizing the region, weakening of
Muslim Umma and ensuring an unchallenged access to the
riches of Central Asian States. The assumption seems a
reality that Osama Bin Laden, had all along been acting
as CIA operative! His role as Mujahid along with Mullah
Omer during Russian war, working in close collaboration
and with financial assistance of CIA, later re establishing
his authority in Afghanistan (being Arab), moving around
the globe with complete immunity despite being “wanted”
for “crimes against humanity” in shape of embassy
or Cole bombing and coming out alive after deadly as well
as accurate Tomahawk “attack” a couple of years
back, indicate enough proof of his continuous close links
with American masters. From nothing, he was gradually
being “groomed” into an angry and rebellious
hero fighting for supremacy of Islam by the Jewish dominated
western media. After abandoning the devastated country,
while thousands of innocent lives were lost, Osama lived
on to provide justification for Americans to re enter
Afghanistan as Bush called, “crusaders”. A lot
of hype was created by USA to nab Osama and Omer. The
western media went crazy for months to talk nothing but
Osama and Omer and made the world believe that the whole
world would be destroyed if these two men were not caught.
However, the day first American Marine landed in Afghanistan
after September 11 incident, Osama and Omer became a forgotten
story. Where are they? Are they killed? There is neither
any confirmation about the fate of these two “most
dangerous” men nor any one, including the only global
policeman wants to know. It would not be wrong to assume
that these two may be used once again by their masters
for yet another episode some where on the face of this
earth! Had they been caught or found or declared dead
the marines, CIA and FBI sleuths could not spread their
tentacles in Afghanistan and neighboring countries, particularly
in Pakistan, including Kashmir, on pretext of finding
Al Qaeeda leaders and their operatives. This scheme is
serving them multi purpose; physical presence of notorious
CIA/FBI on soil of the only Nuclear Muslim nation thus
finding easy access to otherwise very difficult “direct
information” on some national matters and round up
any one wearing turban with beard called Muslim giving
moral support to Kashmir cause, as Al Qaeeda terrorist!
They also managed to dissipate Pak defensive capability
by a subtle maneuver to “man the western borders
against escaping terrorists” while having a honeymoon
with their “re-found love”; India, through combined
defence exercises after 39 years. Unfortunately, this
move is being seen by all but those who matter in the
region.
The west had been dependant on Arab states for their oil
needs for decades. With emergence of anti American feelings
among the commoners in Arab states in recent years (thanks
to mini USA; Israel and some weak leaders of a few Arab
states), a substitute source of fossil energy had to be
found and accessed uninterrupted. The Americans knew it
very well, due to their own track record, that they could
neither win over through diplomacy nor coerce the states
like Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, China or Russia. In their game
to find a smooth access they first re established the
“very worm and cordial” relations with regional
“super power”, India. However, since India,
by virtue of its geographical disposition could not serve
their main purpose, except to pin down Pakistan resources
(as they have done by moving their armed forces to the
Indo Pak borders), therefore Americans needed some common
grounds where other regional countries could join hands
with them, thus innocently helping hidden designs. Terrorism
had always been a major issue for all countries of the
world. Even the docile societies like Scandinavian or
Swiss had been getting a taste of it. Anti terrorist slogan
had always been accepted by every civilised nation. Irrespective
of regional differences, no country could ever say yes
to any crime against humanity in shape of any kind of
terrorist act. So the designers of the grand game found
the answer for collecting every one on single platform.
Fortunately for them, in this unfortunate region, every
country, or at least those countries that matter, had
some problem or the other with freedom movement (or terrorists
as they would like to call). May it be Chechnya for Russia,
South Western region for China, Mindanao for Philippines
or Kashmir for India. Not realizing about the actual plan,
majority of the world community, including Pakistan, willingly
with complete honesty joined the coalition against terrorism
while other gave “wholehearted” support to curb
the freedom movements in their respective regions or save
their economies from being ruined by American blackmail.
India and Israel claim the top slot in the second category
of “supporters”. The Indian leadership, in an
attempt to prove that they had been the most “devastated”
in entire world due to terrorist acts and that they needed
an immediate end to it, started playing absurd tricks.
Going by the events that followed September 11 incident,
it seems that India is the only country after USA, which
is “loved” by terrorists!!! Hijacking drama,
attack on Held Kashmir Assembly, US Mission, India Parliament,
killings of innocent Sikh/Muslims in held Kashmir but
seldom a Hindu, burning of train and carnage in Gujarat
had all been acts of terrorism and that too from across
the Pak borders!!! They consider this “global war
against terrorism” a golden opportunity to suppress
the will of Kashmiri people and neutralize Pakistan once
for all. They, in their ugly attempt to do so are putting
millions of their people at risk of unheard devastation.
It is strange that the Indian leadership has such a scanty
knowledge about history that they forget their own past.
Why have they forgotten that India was once a British
colony and it was the will of people that made the British
masters to run away? Why do they forget that the will
of people may be suppressed temporarily but can never
be subdued nor any independent and proud nation like Pakistan
can be neutralized through force, no matter how brutal?
Why do they keep forgetting that an earliest solution
through peaceful negotiation of Kashmir issue is in the
best interest of every one in the region?
Pakistan has repeatedly reiterated that war is not a solution
to any problem. Despite being a core issue, needing an
immediate solution, even Kashmir should not be used as
a pretext to initiate war. Indians must take an unconditional
offer by Musharaf Administration as a window of great
opportunity for resolving this issue peacefully. War shall
serve no purpose and now with both nations being nuclear,
no one can give any kind of assurance that even a minor
conflict on borders shall not blow out to be a nuclear
disaster. A great sense of responsibility is required
to be exercise by both nations. Let the leaders of both
nations know that, this time, a war between two shall
not be restricted to local theaters. It shall be a great
holocaust resulting into annihilation of millions from
the face of earth. Nothing shall be left for these leaders
to play their political games. This is the time to act
wise if these leaders have a slightest love for their
common people. This is the time to act as mature and great
nations and show the world community that responsible
nations can resolve their own issues amicably. Let both
nations act as independent and stand tall among world
community and do not give any one to re enact the drama
of East India Company. There is nothing, which these two
great nations cannot do that USA or UK or Russia or any
other nation can do. Even if other so-called peace brokers
come in than they shall always be looking for their own
interest, as now is evident from the events. If at all
the war is inevitable then let it be against the poverty,
illiteracy, diseases and for upholding the human dignity!
